Video Review: Thirty Seconds To Mars “Rescue Me”

A young woman with vitiligo leaves her face expressionless. A thirtysomething man plays air drums. An sixtysomething man with long, gray hair leans forward as he stares at the floor. A fiftysomething man runs his hand over his face. The teenage boy screams. The teenage young woman with blonde hair closes her eyes and tilts her head back. The twentysomething young woman with fire engine red hair bites her nails. The young woman with vitiligo screams.

Leto dances and claps his hands. The young woman with the blonde hair shakes her head. A man with one arm dances. The fiftysomething man cries. A twentysomething young man folds his hands in prayer. The young woman with the freckled face sobs. A tear rolls down with young woman with vitiligo’s cheek.

Leto punches his chest. The young woman with the fire engine red hair dances. The young woman with vitiligo rubs her eye. The man with one arm wipes his eye. The full-figured young woman dances. The teenage young man, sits in his wheelchair and moves his arms. The fifysomething man smiles. The full-figured young woman smiles. The young man, who air drums, hugs Leto. Leto puts his hand over the camera.

The young woman with vitiligo worries about how she will pay for her medication. The fifysomething man struggles with the loss of his wife. The teenage young man in the wheelchair hopes his surgery goes well. The twentysomething young woman with fire engine red hair cuts herself every night. The man with one arm saves up money to pay for his prothesis.

Their lives take a desperate turn. The young woman with vitiligo goes into debt. The fiftysomething man stays inside his house for most of the year. The teenage man in the wheelchair gets an infection, landing him in the hospital. The young woman with the fire engine red hair takes a bottle of pills. The man with the one arm receives divorce papers from his wife.

However, a few months later, good things start to happen. The young woman with vitiligo gets a better job with decent insurance which pays for her medication. The fiftysomething man ventures out to see his grandchildren. The young woman with fire engine red hair goes into therapy and is able to function again. The teenage young man in the wheelchair finally stops getting his headaches, due to the surgery. The man with one arm fills out an application to be a teacher at the community college.
