In front of a studio audience, Calvin Harris, Katy Perry, Big Sean and Pharrell Williams perform their song.

Behind the neon, multi-colored half-moon with blocks of red squares, Perry swings the microphone back and forth and Williams stares down at his keyboard while he plays.  Big Sean sits on the amplifier, rotating his arm from left to right. As Perry sings, she touches the both sides of her head. Harris steps in place while he strums his guitar.

Perry pulls both ends of her platinum blonde hair and sniffs a strand. She points at the audience and then puts her hand over her mouth, stifling a giggle. Perry dances close to Harris. She takes the microphone off the stand and sings to Big Sean. Big Sean points to her as he raps. He takes off his glasses. Perry plays with a strand of her hair again. She sings next to Harris and returns to the microphone stand.

The studio audience applauds their performance.

Rating: 5/5

After hearing “Feels,” a famous comedian called up Calvin Harris’ manager and asked if he wanted to appear on the show. He immediately said yes and called up his bandmates.

The 1977 variety show was a success. Every person that performed had a hit song for several weeks. It would make or break them. It was Katy Perry who insisted on being in most of the skits. Out of the four of them, she had the natural comedic timing. Pharrell Williams, Big Sean and Calvin Harris covered the interview segment and played along in a skit or two. However, it was Perry who really had the audience going.

After she performed in a skit about a rabbit with the host, she began to think about an acting career. With her long, blonde hair (inspired by her idol Cher), she sings and flirts with Harris on stage. They had kissed but he had decided to keep it professional. He suspected she was plans on going solo soon.

Pharrell Williams, though, won the audience over as he told a story about his wife and the time he gave her a puppy. Meanwhile, Big Sean takes everything in, not really saying much, and thanks the host for inviting them.
