In London, England, the alarm on Jason Derulo’s phone rings at 3:00 a.m. His girlfriend opens her eyes as he removes his arm around her and sits up.
As confetti falls, he sips his drink in a room full of balloons.
He holds his drink as he records in the studio.
At the vanity, she puts on lipstick.
Against a black background, Nicki Minaj wears a diamond studded mask over her face.
His girlfriend serves a steak and places at his place at the dinner table. She waits for him.
Wearing a lace corset dress, Minaj plays with her hair as she dances by neon pink and teal seashells.
Several female dancers shake their butts on a confetti littered floor as Willy William performs.
His girlfriend pours her drink over her steak.
Derulo performs with the women while she calls him. He runs back to the hotel and returns to their room. He shakes out some roses from a vase and sees the dinner table. He places the roses on the nightstand.
He performs on stage. David Guetta claps in the corner as he stands by his keyboard. His girlfriend watches him in the front row. He invites her on stage and she hugs him.
His girlfriend buys herself plane tickets back home as her meal gets cold. Jason Derulo was supposed to come from the studio over an hour ago. She texts him and asks him what’s going on. But there’s no answer. Despite being in England for two days, she has seen much of the city or anywhere for that matter. She puts on her coat and decides to walk around for an hour or two.
Derulo checks the time and realizes he missed dinner. The producer had insisted on him staying. None of the other takes seemed to work at first. It took an extra couple of hours for him to nail the song. The label needed it as soon as possible. He really hopes his girlfriend understands. He had warned her that he was going to be working a lot while on tour.
At the concert, he apologizes to her and brings her on stage. He says she’s the best thing that ever happened to him. She smiles at him as she watches the rest of the concert backstage and cancels her plane tickets.
