The sun rises over the beach. Lumidee puts on lipstick as she sits on her bed. Pitbull stands by the car in the driveway.
She dances against a white background.
She unrolls the curlers in her hair. A young man sits with a young woman on the couch. She sits at her vanity and fluffs her hair.
She dances in forest.
A second young man and woman dance at a party.
People watch as a men play a card game near a mural.
She leans against a car. She walks past a man playing guitar on the steps of a home as she walks to the door. Pitbull checks her out as she walks through the foyer.
She stops at the car and turns away from Pitbull as he talks to her in the driveway. At the party, the young man sees Lumidee and moves away from the young woman. She motions for him to stop talking and walks away. He shakes his head. She leaves the home.
A third young man walks on the beach.
Lumidee searched the table and said she couldn’t find the invitation to the party. Her boyfriend shrugs and says it may have gotten lost in the mail. She says she’ll give them a call. He shakes his head and tells her he’ll care of it. She says “ok” and says she’s going shopping for a new dress with some girlfriends. He says it’s fine. He’s going to hang out with his friends.
As she tried on her dress, she asks for her friends’ opinions. They say they love it. However, one of her friends mentions that she may want to go with her to the party. Lumidee responds with “what?” She says she had heard that Lumidee’s boyfriend had already returned the R.S.V.P. She says “it’s no big deal.” Her friend adds that he’s bringing someone else.
Pitbull runs into her and starts to talk her. She explains that she has a boyfriend. Pitbull pulls back and says he respects that. They continue to talk. He asks her if she’s going to the party. She answers with a firm yes. He says he’ll see her there.
She had to see it for herself. He tells her he can explain. She says there’s no need and walks out of the party. Pitbull follows behind her and asks her what’s wrong. She says she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her. He tells her she’s better off and offers to get her some ice cream. She says that would help.
