A chill runs through the twentysomething woman’s arms as she passes by the alley. The twentysomething man had been found there. She had shouted for him and told him to come back to her. He asked her to follow her. The Grim Reaper cackled and told her to hurry.

At night, she closed her eyes and asked the Grim Reaper to take her. It would be easier. She would be with the twentysomething again and live some form of life. In Paris, she saw the Grim Reaper as she ate in the cafes once. He was trailing behind a fortysomething man. She did nothing. There wasn’t anything that could be done. It was already determined.

She walks in the park and feels a coldness within her. Turning her head, she sees the Grim Reaper standing next to her. She asks him what took him so long. He says he had some traveling to do. She takes his hand and tells him, “let’s walk.” The Grim Reaper says for her to lead the way.
