In black-and-white, Mariah Carey’s hair blows in the wind as she stands on the sidewalk. She leans against the wall of her apartment in New York City, New York. A 15-year-old girl runs with a 13-year-old girl on the sidewalk. She stands on the first floor as a choir sings on the staircase.
A 10-year-old boy puts his hands on his cheeks as he sits against the brick of a building. An 8-year-old girl plays Hopscotch. A fiftysomething woman, with her arms on the windowsill, stares up at the sky. A seventysomething man sits backwards in his chair on the sidewalk. A sixtysomething man tap dances on the sidewalk. The 15-year-old girl plays a game of basketball with her friends at the park and walks with the 13-year-old girl.
The 15-year-old girl gives the the fiftysomething woman a container of meatloaf. She tells her it’s from her family. The fiftysomething woman tells her she’s a doll. She says her mom told her she’ll be over tomorrow to help out. The fiftysomething woman says it’ll be wonderful.
The fiftysomething woman had run into some health problems. She hadn’t been able to get out much within the last year. When she was better, she was over at the person’s house within minutes. Her mom told her on the way home to check on her and talk to her. It’s the least they could do.
The fiftysomething woman walks with a cane to the 15-year-old girl’s house. The 15-year-old girl hugs her and says it’s good to see her out and about. She says she’ll get her mom. Her mom exclaims, “oh my!” and offers her to get inside. The fiftysomething woman takes the 15-year-old’s hand as she walks over the step.
